RYOHEI YAMASHITA EXHIBITION 2014 “MOMENT”
A solo exhibition by RYOHEI YAMASHITA, including his latest work. With 2014 marking 10 years as a professional artist,
this exhibition starts in his hometown of Fukuoka.
The artist continues to produce paintings with a sense of YAKUDO (vibrant motion), this time under the theme of “MOMENT”. The task he set for himself was to carefully capture the exact moment when vibrant motion occurs. His aim with this exhibition is to create a space that is rich with contrast by combining paintings that capture intense movement with rough brushstrokes, and paintings that evoke an awareness of silence and stillness.
Work exhibited includes acrylic paintings and oil paintings ranging from 227mm×158mm to 1939mm×1303mm, and will be available for purchase. This will also be the first opportunity to see the artist’s latest work, an original painting to be used as the poster visual for the Yokohama Marathon 2015. Additionally, popular original drawings, rare installation artwork, iPhone covers by the US brand Uncommon, illustrated mug cups, as well as books and CDs featuring cover illustrations by the artist will all be available to buy!
